On October 20, 2024, we celebrated once again, the Mission Family Fair with the theme, "Go and Invite Everyone to the Banquet: Celebrating Synergy in the Diversity of Giftedness through Faith, Hope, and Love." Thanks to the creative diversity and efforts of our Hijas-Hearters, we succeeded in creating a day where lasting memories have been formed and a day where our shared mission has been brought to life. As we recall the activities for this event, may we remember the lasting impacts and experiences that continue to guide us in our daily lives.
The Mission Family Fair (MFF) opens with a profound Holy Mass, setting the tone of thankfulness and appreciation for the special events planned ahead. The Hijas de Jesus family and friends gather in unity, enforcing a formidable sense of togetherness within the school community. The Homily invites all to embrace compassion, pleasure, and joy—values that align with the spiritual concept of MFF. This reflective beginning awakens our vision that MFF is not a mere festivity but a day in which our unified vision is brought to life. This mass paves the pathway for a day filled with enriching connections and empowering gatherings.
Returning for another outstanding experience, elementary pupils dazzle us with their ever-so-shining and dazzling performances during the field demonstration, certainly lifting the mood with their cute smiles and dance moves inspired by the movie, Inside Out! Each class embodies different emotions from the film —joy, sadness, anger, fear, disgust, anxiety, envy, embarrassment, and ennui—bringing these feelings to life. Their infectious energy captures the essence of each emotion in vibrant and colorful routines that truly captivates the crowd. The “Inside Out” theme serves as a meaningful reminder to every one of the importance of understanding and embracing our feelings, certainly a memorable remark.
The interactive game booths remain a major highlight, attracting crowds with intricate themes and designs such as the magical world of Harry Potter and the adventurous universe of Pokémon. The InflataWorld— a large, bouncy set-up jointly organized by the ninth and tenth graders— stands out as an absolute favorite among the many children! Each booth serves as a canvas for creativity, where every student’s contribution adds a unique touch to this overall masterpiece of tenacity and trust.
This year’s Fam Fun Games strengthen family bonds, featuring activities designed to promote teamwork and enjoyable family dynamics. With games that reinforce the MFF’s focus on family connections, families have the opportunity to cultivate stronger ties within the community. The laughter and joy throughout the day are clear signs of the fun shared, leaving behind memories that would last long after the event.
The much-anticipated raffle draw keeps the excitement flowing as attendees eagerly await the chance to win various prizes! The raffle symbolizes a sense of suspense, with each ticket representing the impact of change within a unified community. As numbers continue to be drawn, cheers erupt from the lucky winners, spreading joy across the Hijas-Hearter community. This part of the event brings everyone together in anticipation, facing the potential of change making this a cherishable and exhilarating moment for all to remember.
The Junior High School and Senior High School students grace the stage, showcasing their artistic flair through a variety of artistic performances, adding a flourishing dimension to the fair. Students take to the stage, carrying with them their enthusiasm, embracing their talent for dance, music, and theater as the appreciative families watch with glee. These performances not only entertain but also inspire young Hijas-Hearters to explore their own artistic abilities. The performances enrich the MFF experience, making it a celebration of both talent and creativity.
