3rd Annual Archdiocesan Assembly of Religion Teachers: Trending or Fading?

On August 23, 2024, in this Year of Prayer, the Cebu Archdiocesan Commission on Catholic Education organized the Third Annual Archdiocesan Assembly of Religion Teachers at Tabor Hill College, San Jose, Cebu City, with the theme “Rediscovering the Vocation of Religion Teachers in a Secularized Society.”

Two teachers from the CLF Area, Mr. Ganar and Ms. Austria, participated in the assembly. The assembly commenced with a Holy Mass, presided over by His Excellency, Bishop Jose Palma. In his homily, Bishop Palma emphasized the critical role of Catholic formation in shaping the hearts and minds of the young.

Following the Holy Mass, the keynote speaker, Fr. Zenon A. Guanzon, stressed the importance of Catholic educators in a secularized society. He challenged us to proclaim the truth in the spirit of charity and to proclaim His words through our works.
